New to Pixel Wars? Here is everything you need to go from your first pixel to leading a team into battle.
Pixel Wars is a real-time multiplayer battle fought on a single shared 2000×2000 canvas — four million squares that thousands of players paint at the same time. Every pixel belongs to a real person. Your goal is simple to say and hard to master: claim and hold territory, climb the ranks, and leave your mark before the season ends.
There is no single way to win. Some players build art, some defend a home base, some hunt rivals with bombs, and some lead teams in coordinated campaigns. How you play is up to you.
Pick a color from the palette, tap or click a square on the canvas, and confirm. That pixel is now yours until someone paints over it. Zoom in for precision and out to see the bigger battle. That is the entire core loop — everything else builds on it.
Pixels are the currency of the war, and there are two honest ways to get them. Earn them: you receive a pixel automatically every 15 minutes, and you can claim more from the daily spin wheel and by keeping a daily login streak alive. Or buy them: pixel packs let you stock up instantly if you want to move fast. Buying pixels saves you time — it never gives you power a free player cannot earn.
Everyone starts with a set of free colors. Place enough pixels in a season and you unlock the premium color tier for that season. Special and paid colors — metallics, neons, glitter, and animated effect colors — are permanent: buy them once and they carry across every future season. Color is identity on the canvas, and the rarest shades make your territory unmistakable.
Sometimes a rival digs in and a single pixel will not move them. That is what weapons are for. A bomb clears a 3×3 area in one move — perfect for breaking a defensive cluster. A nuke is the heavy option for when you need to wipe a serious foothold. Use them to break sieges, open a front, or send a message.
You can fight alone, but the biggest moves happen in teams. Request to join a team and a captain approves you; from there you share a team chat, coordinate attacks and defenses, and climb the team leaderboard together. A well-organized crew can hold ground no solo player ever could. Teams are where Pixel Wars turns from a game into a war.
Every pixel you place counts toward your rank. There are ten ranks, from EMBER — earned at your first 50 pixels — all the way up to SOVEREIGN at 240,000. Achievements reward the milestones and feats along the way, and you can show off your favorites on your profile alongside your avatar, frame, and badges. Your rank and achievements are your permanent record.
Seasons are the rhythm of Pixel Wars. Each season runs for three months, and when it ends the canvas wipes clean — everyone gets a fresh, equal start. But the reset is only skin deep: your rank, lifetime stats, achievements, and team all carry forward. The map clears; your legacy stays. A new season is the best time to jump in, because nobody has a head start.
WAR+ is the optional membership for players who want extra style and convenience — cosmetic perks, quality-of-life upgrades, and a badge on your username. It is built on one firm rule: WAR+ never buys power. It will never place a pixel for you or win a fight for you. Skill and time decide rank; WAR+ just makes the ride look and feel better.
The canvas and chat are moderated to keep the game welcoming. You can report or block other players, and every report is reviewed. Bad actors are removed. Play hard, talk trash if you must, but keep it a place people want to come back to.
